Cascina degli Ulivi Filagnotti Bianco 2021

Named in homage to Stefano's beloved Maremma sheep dog, the Filagnotti Bianco is one of a few truly mesmerizing, single-vineyard expressions of Cortese from the estate, pulled from a parcel of 60 year old vines overlooking the nearby village of Tassarolo. Aged for a few brief months in acacia barrels, the Filagnotti displays the mesmerizing density possible when working with old-vine fruit. What feels like gamma rays compressed into liquid form, the Filagnotti takes everything the Ivag does well and does it even better. Sunshine drenched citrus orchard, retro English cider, green melon, and crushed stone.
